New details have emerged regarding access to RAI studios by individuals linked to ongoing judicial proceedings. According to reports, Maria Rosaria Boccia, the entrepreneur at the center of recent investigations, met with Report journalist Sigfrido Ranucci for approximately two hours at the Viale Mazzini headquarters. Separately, the newspaper La Stampa reports that RAI addressed the Ranucci case, stating that the journalist "is not a martyr," while Ranucci commented on the suspension of program reruns by calling them "the memory of the country." Il Giornale also reports that Valter Lavitola accessed the via Teulada studios on at least two occasions, in 2019 and 2021. La Stampa adds that prosecutors are examining Lavitola's mobile phones and that the party Fratelli d'Italia has filed a formal complaint. Regarding the Boccia-Ranucci meetings, the journalist Freccero reportedly expressed astonishment, stating he was "dumbfounded." The relationships between these individuals and the Report program remain under scrutiny. RAI has called for prudence, while the judiciary continues its investigation into the broader matter.
