Russia carried out a large-scale missile and drone attack against several Ukrainian cities, including Kiev and Kharkiv. According to the Ukrainian air force, during the night 125 drones, 25 ballistic missiles, 10 hypersonic Zirkon missiles, and six other missiles were deployed, with the majority directed toward the capital. Local authorities report at least 20 dead and over 140 wounded in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ukrainian Navy, three cruise missiles struck a merchant ship of Turkish ownership flying the Guinea-Bissau flag in the Black Sea. The ship, according to Kiev, was leaving the war zone carrying a cargo of grain. At least five crew members were killed and five are missing, while eight were evacuated and transported to a hospital in Odessa. The number of casualties on the ship varies across sources, which report between three and six dead.

Ukrainian President Zelensky described the attack as one of the most massive in recent months and urged Western partners to provide missile defense systems, particularly Patriots, for protection against ballistic missiles. Ukrainian sources indicate this is the fourth large-scale raid in 35 days.
