Speed cameras in major Italian cities generated over 306 million euros in revenue over the last five years, according to data released by consumer association Codacons. Florence leads the ranking with 86 million euros, followed by Milan with 52.1 million euros. Genoa ranks third with approximately 30 million euros, closely followed by Bologna with 29.9 million euros. Rome collected 25.4 million euros. According to Codacons, Naples stands out at the bottom of the list with only 59,000 euros in speed camera revenue over the same period. The data provides an overview of how much municipalities have collected through automated speed enforcement systems between 2021 and 2025.
