On July 27, the application submission model will be made available, along with technical specifications detailing how documentation should be organized. Meanwhile, concrete investments continue. In Vercelli, a large-scale data center is planned with over four billion euros in investment and an expected workforce of 350 technicians. The government has classified the project as being of preeminent national strategic interest, a designation that entails simplified authorization procedures and priority in evaluation.

The acceleration of authorizations is recognized as a factor facilitating the development of new sites. However, some observers raise questions about the sustainability of the resources required to operate data centers, particularly regarding energy and water consumption.
