The World Heritage Committee has inscribed the "system of Italian-style condominium theaters of the 18th and 19th centuries in central Italy" on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The decision was made during the 48th session of the Committee, held in Busan, South Korea, from July 19 to 29.

The newly recognized heritage comprises a group of historic theater buildings located in central Italy, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, characterized by their condominium-based management model. According to ANSA, the list of inscribed structures was published following the Committee's decision.

Minister of Culture Giuli described the recognition with "pride and satisfaction." Prime Minister Meloni, as reported by several outlets, referred to the inscription as reinforcing Italy's cultural standing and called for continued commitment to cultural preservation.

Italy holds one of the highest numbers of UNESCO World Heritage Sites worldwide.
