The images released by the Spanish Guardia Civil show the moment when flames reach a road in Sotillo de la Adrada, in the province of Ávila, while emergency vehicles and other cars move away through fire and smoke. The footage was captured by a drone. According to reports by La Stampa, the area is affected by one of the most severe wildfire fronts in central Spain. Between the provinces of Ávila, Madrid and Toledo, approximately 77,000 hectares have reportedly burned. The Ávila wildfire is described as the largest ever recorded in the country. Wildfires are also reported to be affecting parts of France.
