An episode of violence occurred in San Benedetto del Tronto, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, involving Giuseppe Barboni, an entrepreneur and member of the Futuro Nazionale movement. According to the reconstructed events, Barboni had a verbal altercation with a man who was reportedly blocking traffic on the roadway, also with a bicycle present on the carriageway. After the discussion degenerated, Barboni threw away the bicycle, knocked the man to the ground, and struck him with punches to the face before lifting him and pushing him to the edge of the road. Barboni himself filmed the scene and published the video on his social media channels, accompanying it with accusations against the man. In the post, he described the man as Iraqi and claimed he had been causing disturbances in the city for months. San Benedetto del Tronto mayor Nicola Mozzoni publicly condemned the episode, stating that taking justice into one's own hands is not the right approach and distancing himself from this type of gesture. The mayor emphasized the need to pursue the path of legality together with the competent authorities to ensure safety and public decorum.
