The National Association of Magistrates (Anm) has reported the arrival of threats, insults, and hate messages directed at the judges who convicted jeweler Mario Roggero across all three levels of judgment: first instance, appeal, and Cassation. The magistrates' association expressed solidarity with the judges involved and flagged a heavy campaign of delegitimization against them.

The Anm also issued an appeal to those holding institutional roles, calling for greater responsibility in their public statements, in order not to fuel the climate of tension surrounding the case.

The Roggero case has generated intense public debate. A portion of public opinion expressed positions in favor of the jeweler, calling for his release, while the Anm noted that some of these stances were not based on a thorough knowledge of the facts and the relevant law.

Meanwhile, the jewelry store in Grinzane Cavour has reopened: it is now managed by Roggero's wife and one of his four daughters.
