The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (Eacea) has decided to suspend a 2 million euro funding allocated to the Venice Biennale in connection with the Russian pavilion. The decision follows recommendations from the EU Commission regarding European cultural funding linked to Russia. The suspension of the contribution is prompting discussion of a political, cultural and economic nature regarding the consequences of the measure for the Venetian exhibition body.
