Patrizia Reggiani, 77, former wife of Maurizio Gucci, was taken ill while on vacation in Riccione. The episode occurred in the late morning on Monday on the terrace of a hotel in the Romagna coastal town, where the woman was exposed to the sun.

The assistant accompanying Reggiani during her stay raised the alarm. Emergency services responded promptly, providing initial care at the hotel before arranging urgent transfer to the Infermi hospital in Rimini, where the 77-year-old was admitted to intensive care.

Maximum confidentiality has been maintained regarding Reggiani's condition and her prognosis remains reserved. In the hours following the admission, however, the clinical picture reportedly showed signs of gradual improvement, according to sources.

The exact causes of the illness have yet to be determined. Among the hypotheses under consideration is prolonged exposure to heat and sunlight, but doctors continue to monitor the patient's condition.
