Monica Esposito, aged 55, has died in hospital after more than two months in intensive care. The woman was struck by a car on May 16 in Modena, in via Emilia Centro. After the incident she was first transported to the Maggiore hospital in Bologna and then transferred to the Baggiovara polyclinic, where she passed away. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as El Koudri. The mayor of Modena, Mezzetti, stated that he is asking for full justice for what happened. Investigations into the May 16 incident are ongoing and the legal qualification of the facts has not yet been definitively established.
