The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has notified a notice of conclusion of preliminary investigations to former minister Daniela Santanchè and approximately fifteen other individuals, as well as one company. The charges concern various hypotheses of bankruptcy, false accounting, and aggravated fraud against the State, related to the bankruptcies of Ki Group, Ki Group Holding, Bioera, and Umbria srl. According to the investigation, the conduct allegedly resulted in a fraud of approximately 3.3 million euros against Invitalia, the state-owned investment promotion agency. Among the other individuals under investigation are reportedly Santanchè's sister, Fiorella Garnero, and her former partner Giovanni Canio Mazzaro. The conclusion of the investigations opens the way for a possible trial. Santanchè currently serves as a member of parliament.
