Jannik Sinner spoke about the health issue that occurred at the Roland Garros during a press conference at Wimbledon, following his second-round victory against Nuno Borges. The world number one stated that he and his team have identified the causes of the physical problem that affected him in Paris: "We have understood what happened in Paris. It could happen again because there is no immediate solution; it is a broader matter". Sinner explained that he is working to prevent a recurrence: "We are doing our best to ensure it does not happen again. If it were to happen again, we would understand that the path we are taking is not the right one". The Italian did not provide specific details about the medical causes of the health issue that eliminated him from Roland Garros in the second round. He did, however, confirm that he underwent thorough checks at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan after a week of rest. During the same press conference, Sinner also commented on the match he had just played: "In the second round I played better than in my opening match. Against Borges it was important to use less energy as possible". He also mentioned a fall during his first-round match at Wimbledon, clarifying that the subsequent discomfort is not related to the Paris issue.
