The body of Anastasia Berezovskaya, a woman suspected of having planted the explosive device in the Munich attack that injured an oligarch and her family, was found near Kyiv. According to preliminary information the woman was killed by gunshot wounds to the head.

Ukrainian military sources announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the murder: an active officer of the GUR, Ukraine's military intelligence, and a former member of law enforcement. According to some sources the two confessed, while other accounts indicate the officer acted on his own initiative without informing his superiors. These latter details have not been consistently confirmed across all sources and remain subject to verification.
