The United States conducted its tenth consecutive night of airstrikes against military targets in Iran. In response, Iran claimed attacks against American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain. According to Axios, Iranian mediators are pushing for a new ceasefire, while the White House is reportedly weighing an escalation of the conflict. Diplomatic pressure to revive a truce negotiation has also been reported.

Yemen's Houthis have announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia and threatened to extend the action to the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.

In the United States, domestic opposition to the war is growing. Critics from both political sides have argued that the administration has not clearly communicated the conflict's objectives or the number of wounded. The Pentagon has not disclosed the number of soldiers wounded in certain Iranian attacks on American bases in Jordan. Republican Senator Bill Cassidy and Democratic Senator Mark Warner have expressed concern, respectively, over the lack of a declared strategy and over the potential increase in casualties.
