The summit was also marked by an unusual gesture from Turkish President Erdogan, who gifted pistols engraved with the names of NATO leaders, including ammunition. Following the summit, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov offered Russia's assessment of the outcomes. Peskov described as "erroneous" certain assessments regarding long-range missiles, while expressing appreciation for the stated commitment to a diplomatic solution to ongoing conflicts. Peskov characterized the American stance as "ambivalent" and called on Trump to contribute to peace efforts.
